The extension only uses the transcript data from YouTube videos for the following purposes:

1. To extract transcripts from YouTube videos.
2. To generate chapters and timestamps using Azure OpenAI API.
3. To save the output as a downloadable text file for your use.

We do not store or share any information processed by the extension.

Third-Party Services

Azure OpenAI API:

• The extension uses Azure OpenAI API to generate chapters and timestamps from the extracted transcript.
• The API request includes only the transcript data, and no personally identifiable information is shared.

The extension requires the following permissions to function:

• Host Permissions:
  • Access to https://www.youtube.com/* to extract transcript data from YouTube videos.
• Scripting:
  • Injects scripts into the YouTube webpage to retrieve necessary information for processing.
